Dilute Tortoiseshell Cat

A “dilute tortie” is the fancy phrase for a Dilute Tortoiseshell. The patterning on the dilute tortie is like a normal tortoiseshell but in much more subdued colors. Instead of black and orange patches so clearly defined as seen in the classic tortie, a combination of gray, or blue, and cream as the dilute tortie dons. They come in both long and short-haired versions and appear in many breeds. Known for their independent yet affectionate personality, dilute torties often have a bit of that “tortitude,” with this term used playfully to describe their spunky and spirited attitude. Of course, these cats boast coats that are really unique; they offer visual splendor for the cat lover who likes to appreciate beauty and personality all in one.
