This elegant and affectionate breed is shrouded in a shimmering silver coat with bright green or gold eyes. The cross between a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian originated the breed. It combines the playful, outgoing nature of the Burmese with the calm, sweet nature of the Persian. Their low-maintenance short coat that lies close to the body requires minimal grooming. Because of their social, intelligent, and playful characters with their families, Burmillas make wonderful companions. They are perfectly balanced between playfulness and relaxation, thriving well in either very active households or relatively quieter surrounding atmospheres. Loyal and friendly, Burmillas are attached to their owners.
